If only I had known about this
before! That pretty much sums up my Earth4Energy review.
Really, think of how much money I could have saved if I had
known then what I know now!
For anyone who is serious
about reducing their electricity costs without sacrificing
things like lights and heat, this is about as doable as it
gets. For the small cost of this very thorough "how to" kit,
you just can't go wrong.
What you get
You get a
step-by-step manual on how to make your own solar
panel. The manual is in PDF format, which helps keep costs
down. Once you download it, you can easily print it out for
reference.
Videos are also included,
which I find very helpful because I learn better by watching
than just reading. These are mainly about solar cells, and how
to tab and string them, which is a specialized
skill. The videos make the process quite clear. They are
in flash format, so you can begin watching them
immediately.
You also get instructions on
how to make your own generator,
which sounds difficult, but is actually something the average
person can do. The videos are very useful as well. Earth4Energy
was founded by a regular guy who made his own solar panels and
generator. It is all pretty down to earth.
You also receive instructions
on how to make a wind generator, and windmill blades. This
includes a video showing how to make the
blades.
There are useful tips on
how to get the materials, how to find things for free, which
things you should avoid, etc. You can also find out how to get
free batteries, which is pretty cool because they are quite
expensive.
One thing I really like is the fact that they
have a money back guarantee. Most companies that operate on the
internet are great about refunds because if they are not, word
flies as fast as people can type!
What you don't get
You don't get much fluff or
filler material. Pretty much
everything is practical and geared toward showing you exactly
how to make your own electricity.
None of the building materials are provided,
this is strictly a "how to make generate your own electricity"
instructional course. Most, if not everything you need, is
available at your local hardware
store.
You also won't get a system to power your
entire house; this is about starting small and getting bigger.
You will be able to power some appliances with the one solar
panel or windmill that you make.
Conclusion
If you want to get some real, live, hands on
experience on generating your own electricity; and have a
little cash and a weeked free, you just can't go wrong
with Earth4Energy.
